For Japan

16 March 2011
The last couple of days we have been inundated with images of the destruction that took place in Japan on Saturday. I have been keeping track of the happenings in Japan via Huffington Post and through various Japanese friends on FB.

I have donated what I could and went on a search for information on donating for my readers. I have been asked by friends if I would create a design to be sold on Cafepress and I have decided to do so. All of the proceeds will go to the Red Cross.  Below, I have provided a few things you can do to help. Even if it is $3, every bit counts. My friend Ippei said, "We are all fine here in Chiba, Japan, however even the northeastern part of the country is severely damaged. But we will get through this terrific event. We thank you for your support."

Below I have provided links to organizations who are helping the people of Japan. The sad thing is the damage and danger still isn't over. They are under threat of their nuclear plants exploding or leaking and no one knows what that damage will cause or how it will effect the people. We are all standing with Japan.

Lady Gaga's Pray for Japan bracelets makes $250,000 in 48 hours

$5 each

Like the Dog Bless You Search and Rescue Dogs Organization. For each Like Explore.org will donate $1 to Japan, up to $100,000.

The Nippon Foundation is taking donations starting at 1K yuen each. 1K yuen = $12

Huffington Post has put up a list of organizations that they have vetted.
