Being a native of the Lone Star state, I know Guacamole and I sure as hell know spice. I mean seriously, Texas children are sucking jalapeños out of bottles at the ripe age of two. Kid you not.
And its summer and what a better way to celebrate the multicultural melting pot that is Texas than with Guacamole. Using fresh succulent avocados, with all of their healthy yumminess.
Their green flesh begs to be creamed into a spicy dip.
Cut them in half and squeeze them out of their dark husky shell into a fabulous bowl. This one handcrafted by Rosalie Knaack.
Then add three diced cherry tomatoes to the mix.
Then add juice from half of a fresh squeezed lemon.
Then add 1/2 teaspoon of course black pepper and cayenne pepper for the spice and 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt. Then mix it all up.
And Voila! Texas Spicy Guacamole... enjoy!!
