On Trend Spring 2011-- Red, Navy, and Green

28 March 2011
Buongiorno Chicklets,

Today, I bring you more Spring trends! As we all know, we trendinistas like to always be à la mode. Not to mention we finally made it into spring and if you are living where I am living, it is probably gray instead of sunny without any rays to warm your soul in sight, so we must create our own color. And the best place to do that is in our clothes and makeup.

Today's trend is based on the Tropical Dramaturgy Color Trend

From this trend, I have chosen to use the colors Navy, Green, and Red. With a splash of a gold metallic and we have ourselves an outfit to die for.

1. Navy and White Beverly Dress, Guess.com
2. Not Too Coy Pepper Bootie, 6pm.com
3. Frances Flakes Kelly Green Clutch, Yoox.com

To make this outfit pop I have created two makeup boards for fair to medium skin and medium dark to dark skin.

Fair to Medium Skin
1. All that Glitters eyeshadow on the lid, Mac Cosmetics
2. Sumptuous Olive eyeshadow in the crease, Mac Cosmetics
3. Mocha Blush on the cheeks, Mac Cosmetics
4. Jet Set Gel Liner in Matte Black (winged out), Smash Box
5. Ruby Lip Liner, Laura Mercier
6. Viva Glam I Lipstick, Mac Cosmetics (all proceeds goes to the Mac Aids Fund)
you can use this as a stain by putting it on the tip of your finger and patting on the lips.

Makeup for Dark Skin

1. All that Glitters eyeshadow, Mac Cosmetics (on the lid)
2. Handwritten Eyeshadow, Mac Cosmetics (in the crease)
3. Jet Set Gel Liner in Matte Black (winged out), Smash Box
4. Ambering Rose Blush, Mac Cosmetics (on the cheeks)
5. Ruby Lip Liner, Laura Mercier
use this as a base and liner for the lips, if you feel your lips are too full and you wish to contour them more, use a darker plum lipliner like Vino from Mac
6. Viva Glam I Lipstick, Mac Cosmetics (all proceeds goes to the Mac Aids Fund)

Bonne Chance or as we say in Italy, in bocca al lupo.
