S/S 2012 Trends: Bonnie and Clyde Femme Fatale

10 March 2012

The Gucci A/W 2011 Collection makes me *swoon* with unadulterated lust.

Of course this is due to the fact that it was inspired by the late 30s and 40s fashion which is one of my favorite time periods for fashion and filmmaking eva!

I mean who doesn't love the era of Bonnie and Clyde? Or the Femme Fatales? Those women knew how to dress sexy, tough and feminine all in one bag, sweetheart.

And don't get me started on the colors in this collection. I nearly had a myocardial infarction just looking at them.

Jewel tones, rich and moody in color, lovely textures and luxurious fabrics. What's not to love? This era saw the height of menswear as womenswear and sexy silky body conscious dresses and fitted pencil skirt suits and the ultimate, PINSTRIPES.
