Swing into Fall 2011-- A 50s Inspiration

21 September 2011
As we all know from my last post, I am absolutely obsessed with the Fall, from the changing leaves, to makeup collections and ooohhh the fashion.  On of the biggest trends this Fall is an updated 50s look. I mean who doesn't like the late 40s and 50s fashion style. Thanks to Dior's New Look in 1947, fashion became vampy, sexy and alluring. Not the 2000's--over-the-top-let-it-all-hang-out-leave-nothing-to-the-imagination--approach.. Not! So glad that season is over and I hope that it never returns.  I believe sexy is in silhouettes, shapes, and what you don't show more than what you do. Its ILLUSION and MYSTIQUE and this season has plenty of each.

From dark brooding colors like berries, maroons, scarlets, and hunter and mossy greens to bright confident colors like goldenrods, teals, and fucshias. Fall leaves no stone unturned or exposed; instead it lightly dusts it with fuzzy moss, giving it the allure that only maturity/true confidence can bring. Enjoy!
