Poolside/Beachside Reading List Summer 2011

01 June 2011
Summer is a great time for many things. Swimming, beaching and drinking lovely fruity drinks with little umbrellas in them and making time for reading. I love spending the summer months reading especially since I am student and I rarely get time to read books that are pleasurable.

Most of the books I will be reading this summer are for research purposes however I feel that they will be mostly pleasurable since it is a subject that I love and the rest a purely for pleasure.

Between studying for TEFL, blogging and moving I have made time to read this historical novel. If you are at all as obsessed with the Renaissance Period and Medicis as I am then this is a must have for your shelf this summer. And if you are not interested in those things but love intrigue, back stabbing espionage then it is still an awesome book to read.

The one book I am looking forward the most to reading is Kola Boof's newest book "The Sexy Part of the Bible." She is a dear associate of mine and I have been anticipating this book for the last 6 months and it is now available on Amazon! Kola is a very provocative write and I know she will not leave a stone unturned in this book. It just sounds sexy.

I also look forward to reading all of the works of Russian literary novelist Alexandr Pushkin, who was the pioneer of the Russian vernacular--he is sort of the Russian Shakespeare or Dante.
And while I am reading his works I plan to read the story of his Great Grandfather Abram Petrovich Gannibal.

After that I plan to read the memoirs of Queen Charlotte of Mecklenberg Strelitz.

And I hope to get to these books by the end of the summer as well..

What books do you have on your list to read this summer?
