She wouldn't take no for an answer in an industry that would close the doors in her face because she was a black woman wanting access to the runways. Tyra, allowed those no's to propel her into super stardom. Motivated her to create a global reality show, begin a camp for girls' empowerment and design two webpages that promotes all types of beauty.

Truly, a champion, Tyra has taken her struggle and turned it into gold, not just for herself but for others out there vying for their piece of the pie in the beauty world. She is my pick for beauty of the week because she is resilient and true to herself.  She is definitely a woman to look up to.
