Lydia L,  Beauty Editor/Writer

A native of the tropical island of Singapore, is a 9 year veteran in the makeup and hair industries. She spent her childhood between Asia and Canada, and now resides in Texas. A love for the arts and the creative, eventually led to her passion for makeup.  She has worked on many projects in her career including weddings, pageants, music videos, makeup lessons, and hair and fashion shows. She also enjoys helping women find their own personal makeup style. Working for MAC Cosmetics for six years helped perfect her craft, and shaped her into an independent thinker when it comes to makeup.
There are two things she stresses with makeup: One, there are no rules, just guidelines that you can choose to follow. Daytime or nighttime make-up are not in her vocab. You can sport a smoky eye during the day and you can wear a red lipstick proudly at 10am, just as much as you can wear neutral colours at night. Second, you can wear EVERY colour in the rainbow. It’s just a matter of finding the right shade, tone, and intensity that fits your taste.
Besides painting faces and styling hair, Lydia also enjoys cooking, watching documentaries & comedies, cuddling with her cat Leo, finding good deals on the clearance rack and trying out the latest and greatest in makeup and beauty. She gets inspiration from all things around her and she loves seeing that light bulb go off in someone’s head when she teaches the craft of makeup application.
