Tom Ford Inspired Lace Dress F/W 11

30 October 2011
Good afternoon chicklets,

I have been doing a lot of research on the trends happening here and now and I saw this Uh-Mazing dress by y second favorite American designer Tom Ford in my new InStyle Magazine and I nearly had an clothes-gasm.

Let's just say I set out to find something similar. To be honest I have been looking for a dress like this since the spring -because I have an obsession of 1940 styled fashion--and I STILL have not found one in my price range yet. SO, I decided to show you guys how to recreate this look with your own special twist.

I decided to take this cute dress by Alex and dye it magenta. Add this black sheer top under it and these lace gloves. Instead of a velvet belt (because I could not find one) I decided on velvet ribbon, it works just as good. Top it off with some kitten heels and a satchel bag and heyyyyyyyy, Tom Ford for a fourth of the price..

1. Alex Evenings Sequin Lace Overlay Sheath Dress
2. Fabric Dye in Magenta
3. Robert Rodriguez Mesh Tee (Under the dress)
4. Long Black Lace Gloves
5. M&J Velvet Ribbon
6. 9West Nuncio Shoe
7. SM Royalty Large Satchel

1. HSN Cultured Golden South Sea Pearl
1. HSN Designs by Veronica Earrings

1. NYX Cosmetics Red Jumbo Lip Pencil
2. Kat Von D Hellbent Lipstick
3. Mac Cosmetics Woodwinked E/S
4. Mac #48 Lashes
5. Illamasqua Ravish Creme Blusher (medium dark to deep dark skin tones)
6. Mac Desert Rose Powder Blush (light to medium skin tones)

Grecian Beauty F/W 2011

29 October 2011
With the holidays coming many of us must prepare for holiday parties and the like, however most of us haven't a clue what to wear. So I will begin a little series called "holiday wear 2011." And I am beginning that with this extremely sexy grecian look. I love dresses that drape well on thee body, showing curves yet showing nothing. And with this beautiful white frock I decided to combine it with reptile print heels by Brian Atwood and a mosaic clutch by Urban Expressions which is a bit unexpected yet somehow pulls the look together.
What do you guys think?

1. Modcloth Goddess of the Gala Dress
2. Brian Atwood Multico Python Felini Pump
3. Urban Expressions Zoey Clutch, Zappos
4. HSN Studio Barse "Leaf" Bronze Drop Earrings
5. HSN Studio Barse Kingman Bronze Carved Ring
6. HSN Studio Barse "Leaf" Bronze

Milady & The Whore F/W 2011

27 October 2011
I found this awesome dress on Asos that just made me so happy I had to post it on the blog. No seriously. I am in love with the bejeweled cross on the front of the dress that signifies in some circles 'sanctity' and the black, shortness of the dress that gives the opposite vibe all together. Over-kill the jewelry and you got yourself an outfit.

1. Asos Revive Sequin Cross Dress
2. Kurt Geiger Adorn Hot Pink Platform
3. Emitations Pippy Middleton's gold Earring
4. Emitations Rici's Curved Cocktail Ring
5. All Bangles from HSN

Combined with these cosmetic lovelies:

1. Mac All That Glitters E/S (all over the lid)

1. OCC Anime Lip Tar

or
1. MAC Film Noir Lipstick

1. OPI Honk if you Love OPI Nail Lacquer

As promised here is that yummy Peanut Butter Cheesecake Recipe! Enjoy

Fem-Tux F/W 2011 Trend

25 October 2011
I do not what it is but there is something extremely sexy about a female tux. In fact I plan to own one in the near future. What I find sexy is taking something that is traditionally masculine and flipping it on its head and it making it feminine. You must have the masculine lines with feminine touches like big gawdy jewelry, and palazzo pants. Well, you get what I am saying.. Sexy is not showing everything but instead, leaving everything to the imagination...

This photo spread from Vogue Paris May 2011 inspired me to go on the hunt for a hot fem-tux.

And here is what I put together for you all. Its so Casino Royale, even sexier. So, enjoy!

1. ASOS Satin Lapel Tux Jacket
2. ASOS Pussy Bow Blouse
3. Religion Tux Trousers
4. Spiegel wide leg trousers (for those who dis like skinny pants)

Estou aprendendo Português

22 October 2011
Yes you read that right! I am learning Brazilian Portuguese.  Although, I think the language is beautiful I also think it sounds like drunk french cats speaking spanish with a little Chinese thrown in for fun. Lol..

Why am I learning Portuguese? Well as you all know I started my own coffee business recently and one of my business partners is Brazilian and there may be a possibility that the team will be going to Brazil in the near future.

Its been a minute since I have written on the blog but a lot has taken place in my life. I am retired, and I have been building a large network so I have been working nonstop and I am having the time of my life. I wanted you all to know I am doing well and this week I will have the time to finally do some blog posts on Fall/Winter 2011 fashion. I have been trying to find some awesome outfits but a lot of the sites have not put up their fall fashion but be on the look out for some fall makeup tips and fashion.

Until next post, enjoy your weekend and Gilberto Gil, Céu and Alcione, my favorite Brazilian musicians

Caffe Bliss--My Newest Endeavor

10 October 2011

I have been getting emails from some of my readers lately asking me what I have been up to. As most of you know I returned to the States in May with the intentions of going to S. Korea to teach English when I was stopped in my tracks by an opportunity that I could not pass up--my very own organic coffee business.

I am a person, who, the older I get, the less keen I am about working for someone else. I truly believe the saying that states, "You can never get rich working for someone else." This statement always rang true to me but I could never find a product that I could successfully market and be proud of it. Being a person of integrity I could never represent a brand that I did not personally like, use or move.

Then I was presented with this opportunity by my mother to sell organic coffee. Not just organic coffee, but a non-acidic, ridden with health benefits, I am now an addict organic coffee.

I have recently partnered with a fair-trade global coffee company called Organo Gold and my business will be going global soon to England, Italy and Brasil!  but more on that later. Here is a little information about the company and brand: Organo Gold is a ganoderma company that has found a way to bring health to the people of the earth through the number one addiction the world over, coffee. For your information, coffee is the second most drank beverage in the world outside of water and the second most traded commodity outside of oil. And I think it is ingenious that OG is using this commodity to bring the healing benefits of ganoderma lucidum to the world. OG also partnered with the Napoleon Hill Foundation, publishers of the book "Think and Grow Rich" the number two selling book the world over outside of the bible and had an feature in the USA Today two weeks along side an article written by Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki. This company is doing things!

In fact a few movie stars and athletes have gotten involved and are now selling the product and one famous ex President drinks it.

Recently, American institutes such as M.D. Anderson, Sloan Kettering and Columbia University have been doing studies on the benefits of ganoderma in conjunction with cancer and their studies have found that ganoderma has anti-cancer properties. Other institutes' studies show that ganoderma balances the the body's pH, gives energy, and supports the immune system. Although, we are not in the business of making medical claims I plan to create a wall on my page that has testimonies of people who drink the coffee and the benefits they have received from it.

I could sell you on the company and the coffee but I will not do that, instead I will offer for a limited time to my readers an opportunity to actually try the coffee for free with the guarantee that they will send me their feedback within 48 hours of trying the coffee or tea. Yes, I am willing to ship the samples overseas as well.

All you have to do is email me here with your address (this will be kept confidential) and indicate rather you would like to sample the black, latte or green tea. Those who participate in this taste test will be entered into a contest where they will win a basket of product and homemade goodies worth $75.

If you wish to diversify your earnings and learn more about becoming a distributor send me an email requesting more information. I look forward to hearing from you all and getting those samples out! Don't be shy, send that email and thank you all for your support!
